Can Venom Keep The Numbers Up On Its Second Monday?

So there are movies that require a lot of thought to understand them. Venom: The Last Dance is not one of them. And somehow this is its greatest strength as well as weakness. The movie has amassed a respectable 175 million dollars worldwide. Which is indeed above average, but the collection is in fact the lowest for the trilogy. The movie didn’t have much competition within the genre. So what actually went wrong?

Venom: The Last Dance is fun movie. and that’s where it ends. It’s just a fun movie. The Sony Spider-Man universe has been a mess ever since its conception. However, the Venom movies still were decent. The movie did lure in the audience with its last-minute reveal of Knull, which does nothing in the movie except sit and a rumor that it somehow relates to Spiderman, which in some way it did with Eddie moving to New York.

However, the movie fails to deliver on multiple grounds. The anticlimactic end of a trilogy makes one wonder, Why did they even make this? Some sequences are just boring and thus damage the movie. The main antagonist is just a CGI gray blob, thus diminishing the strength of the movie.

The movie has mediocre reviews, and on grounds like India, a 50% drop is expected. which is again very bad for the reputation of the movie. And while the movie did manage to be a better earner than Vicky Vidya ka wo wala Video and Jigra, it still is in a questionable state.
