Citadel is a one of a kind project. stretched across three parts, across three continents, Citadel is one of the biggest projects to ever grace our screens. Citadel Diana, the next entry in the Citadel series, has gotten an insane amount of positive response, which makes it quite unbelievable that the speculations about the fall of the universe were going on when the first season rolled in.
Citadel Diana has been closing in on the rings of power to become the top show on Amazon Prime Video. Citadel has been a nice addition, and although the series does indeed suffer from issues relating to pacing, the overall buildup towards the end of it is worth it.
Citadel Diana is an ambitious project, and now it is in fact making up for the 300 million+ that were put to use in its production. Diana has insane potential for the Indian market as well; the series will have its next spin-off set in India only, with Varun Dhawan and Samantha in the lead roles. The production will be managed by Raj & DK, and thus the finale will be a blast.
So where does India land amidst all of this? Well, being a part of such a one-of-a kind project is a huge thing for a production house like Raj & DK. Given the fact that they have content under their name that is in fact well suited for a bigger audience, they can surely not only garner but hold on to an international audience. Projects like The Family Man and Farzi are enough to prove their mettle. This recognition can invite future projects as well.
Overall, being part of a project like Citadel is insanely good news. Related to the topic is how Indians are making sense of the series. As previously mentioned, the lack of masala might make Diana a little outstretched. But the audience that will come back to watch Citadel: Honey & Bunny is huge.
