Daredevil: Born Again has the potential of being the ace in the hole for Marvel television in 2025. The series will see the return of Matt Murdock, played by Charlie Cox. Is it the same Daredevil as in the Netflix Marvel series? Well, the answer is yes and no. The series serves as a soft reboot of the Netflix series. The character has appeared twice in the mainline MCU; the first one was in Spider-Man: No Way Home and then She-Hulk.
There’s a lot of news to unpack over here as the rumors regarding the series are now flowing in. There is news that the series will have a number of cameos. Now, even though it’s a rumor, it is not that far from the realm of expectations. Nearly all the recent Marvel projects have run on Nostalgia fodder. And it’s not really a bad thing, as long as it brings in the sweet, sweet cash.
So, what cameos can we expect? Well, firstly we have the confirmed ones, that is the punisher. John Bentley is once again donning the skull on his chest, and he is coming in guns, blazing along side the Devil. Which is quite the dynamic, with Murdock’s strong moral and Punisher being his trigger happy self. Other cameos might include other characters from the Marvel Netflix era. Perhaps Jessica Jones or Luke Cage. Maybe we can have a redemption of Iron Fist.
The more speculative Cameos might be of some young avengers, like Kate Bishop. Or maybe even everyone’s Friendly Neighborhood Spider-man. Since most of these characters carry out their business in the same city, it is likely that they cross paths. Even Echo may have a cameo, or perhaps someone from the newly formed Thunderbolts.
