If you thought the first season of the revival was intense, buckle up, Hell’s Kitchen is about to get a whole lot darker. Marvel Studios has dropped the trailer for Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, and it confirms what fans have been whispering about for years, which is that the street-level MCU is finally reuniting in its grittiest form yet.
On top of this, we may end up witnessing the most vulnerable take on Daredevil by Charlie Cox this season.
The second season, set to premiere on March 24, 2026, picks up with Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) firmly entrenched as the Mayor of New York City. Gone are the days of him hiding in shadows. Fisk is now using the full weight of the law and his notorious Anti-Vigilante Task Force, effectively making Matt Murdock and his allies public enemies.
The biggest mic drop moment from the latest footage is the official return of Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones. After years of rumours, we finally see the hard-drinking, super-powered P.I. back in action, teaming up with Matt to navigate Fisk’s martial law.
This isn’t just a cameo. Jessica is expected to be a major player in the resistance, marking the first time a fellow Defender has officially joined the new Disney+ continuity. With Bullseye (Wilson Bethel) also returning in a more comic-accurate suit and potentially being forced into an “enemy of my enemy” alliance with Daredevil, the power dynamics are shifting in wild directions.
Moreover, as per some online reports, Born Again Season 2 will lean more towards its Netflix roots, embracing a darker, more serialised tone while also weaving in MCU history.
In addition, Matt is sporting a sleek new Black and Red Daredevil suit, signalling his shift from lawyer-vigilante to a rebel operating in the shadows.
Season 2 of Born Again is also expected to be a massive reunion for the original Netflix Defenders lineup. Mike Colter’s Luke Cage is a top contender for a comeback, potentially bringing his “Hero for Hire” energy back to the streets of New York. While Finn Jones’ Iron Fist is also rumoured to return, there’s plenty of chatter about whether the role might be recast for this new chapter.
