David Schwimmer looks dead serious, possibly losing his mind, in the latest Goosebumps: The Vanishing trailer. Disney Plus has released a new trailer featuring Schwimmer, best known for his role as Ross Geller on F.R.I.E.N.D.S. Alongside the F.R.I.E.N.D.S. alum, the trailer also showcases other cast members, including Ana Ortiz, Jayden Bartels, Elijah M. Cooper, Sam McCarthy, Galilea La Salvia, Stony Blyden, and Francesca Noel.
The trailer opens with Schwimmer’s Anthony talking with his twins Devin (McCarthy) and Cece (Bartels) about having a “really fun but also a safe summer” when they arrive at their Brooklyn home for the summer. “I only have one rule: Stay out of the basement.”
Soon, we see Devin and Cece discussing their uncle’s shocking disappearance with some neighbourhood kids. They discover that their uncle was one of four teenagers who mysteriously vanished nearly 30 years ago in Gravesend. This motivates them to learn more about their missing uncle.
We also see Anthony receiving a package from the cops containing his missing brother’s clothes, which he was wearing when he disappeared. This inspires Anthony to conduct various experiments in his lab to uncover what really happened to his brother. However, things take a turn when some samples and plants in his lab start behaving in weird and terrifying ways.
Soon, the twins begin to suspect that their father might be responsible for all the strange occurrences.
The eight-episode Goosebumps: The Vanishing’ series will premiere on January 10, 2025, on Hulu and Disney+ platforms. Stay tuned for more updates. Here’s the trailer!
