If you are a fan of science fiction movies, here is a recommendation for you. ‘Sunshine’ is a movie that came out in 2007 and went on to be a huge success. It is a very emotional tale of a team of astronauts who are deployed to save the Sun.
The wonderful screenplay is written by Alex Garland and the movie is directed by Danny Boyle. Danny Boyle is definitely one of the most respected filmmakers in Hollywood and gives you one more reason to not miss ‘Sunshine’. The movie has quite a heavy star-cast and has actors like Cillian Murphy, Rose Byrne, Cliff Curtis, Chris Evans, Troy Garity, Hiroyuki Sanada, Benedict Wong and more. The performances are beautiful. Of course it will be a treat to see Cillian Murphy, Chris Evans and Hiroyuki Sanada share the screen.
The cinematography is handled by Alwin H. Küchler and the music is given by composer John Murphy and Underworld. All the departments of the movie are well executed.
The movie is set in 2078 when the Sun is dying out and a group of international astronauts are given the task to revive the Sun by going there and igniting it with a nuclear fission. It will be curious to see Cillian Murphy after Oppenheimer to be in such a movie.
