Eddie Murphy Joins Biopic Bandwagon With George Clinton Biopic

A trend is going around Hollywood of making biopics of pop culture legends. Whether it be the Christopher Reeves documentary or the upcoming Bob Dylan biopic, There is also the Bruce Springsteen biopic, the Linda Ronstadt biopic with Selena Gomez, or the Michael Jackson flick with Jaafar Jackson.

The latest addition to this is going to be Eddie Murphy, who will be seen as George Clinton in an upcoming biopic. The biopic is yet to have a title, but we do know that Bill Condon will be the man who directs it. The biopic will be written by Virgil Williams. The movie will be produced under the banner of Amazon MGM Studios.

Eddie Murphy and Bill Condon are coming together again after the Oscar-winning performance in the 2006 movie “Dreamgirls.” The biopic will be based on the George Clinton memoirs “Brothas Be, Yo Like George, Ain’t That Funin’ Kinda Hard On You?’ George Canton has been quite an influential figure in the realm of music. The man founded the “Parliament Funkadelic.” Ushering a new age of scifi psychedelic music, which soon spread like wildfire with the band gaining popularity in the oncoming culture.

Eddie Murphy will soon be seen in The Pickup, also under the banner of Amazon MGM.
