The official trailer for Netflix’s The Night Agent Season 2 is out now. Led by Gabriel Basso, the upcoming season follows Peter Sutherland as he finds himself surrounded by chaos and bad guys while hunting for a mole in the CIA, whose plans to blow up Manhattan.
The new trailer hints at even more action and higher stakes compared to the debut season. Alongside Basso, Luciane Buchanan returns as Rose Larkin, seen supporting Peter in any way she can. Other cast members featured in the clip include Eve Harlow, Sarah Desjardins, Amanda Warren, Louis Herthum, Arienne Mandi, Teddy Sears, Berto Colon, and Brittany Snow.
Peter, who became a hero by saving the President in the first season, steps into his role as a full-fledged Night Agent in Season 2. However, after being betrayed during a mission, he suspects a mole within the CIA is leaking critical U.S. secrets. Feeling abandoned by his own organisation, Peter goes rogue to unmask the traitor. His investigation reveals that the mole is selling secrets to the highest bidder and has gathered the resources to unleash a catastrophic bomb in Manhattan.
Shawn Ryan developed the show and also serves as the showrunner and one of the executive producers, representing his banner MiddKid Productions. Sony Pictures Television has produced the show.
Season 1 was a record-breaking success for Netflix, quickly becoming the third most-watched debut series on the platform within its first four days of release.
The Night Agent Season 2 will premiere on Netflix on January 23. Stay tuned for more updates. Here’s the new trailer!
