It seems Krypto really brought Superman home! The official trailer for James Gunn’s upcoming DCU movie has silenced Snyder fans and naysayers, breaking viewership records.
Gunn revealed that the trailer for Superman has been a massive success for both DC Studios and Warner Bros. It garnered over 250 million views across all platforms within the first 24 hours of release, making it the most-viewed trailer in the history of both production houses.

What does this mean? It means DC fans around the world are eagerly anticipating Superman. In addition to James Gunn’s renowned direction, the excitement is heightened by the fact that this will be the first major theatrical release from the revamped DCU.
While the new Superman trailer hasn’t surpassed Marvel Studios’ Deadpool & Wolverine (365 million views), it has outperformed Joker: Folie à Deux (167 million views). Even the highest-grossing movie of 2024, Inside Out 2, managed only 157 million views in its first 24 hours of release.
Superman features David Corenswet as Clark Kent (aka Superman), Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner (aka Green Lantern), Isabela Merced as Kendra Saunders (aka Hawkgirl), Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor.
