The Conjuring: Last Rites is finally set to make its OTT debut in India after a long theatrical run. The horror film released in cinemas on September 5, 2025, and marked the ninth and final chapter in the Conjuring universe. After nearly six months in theatres, the film is now ready to reach a wider audience online.
The Conjuring is hugely popular in India, and it is a favourite of anyone who wants to start watching a horror franchise in India.
The movie was already available on Amazon Prime Video as a rental title. It will now stream for free for subscribers on JioHotstar. The platform confirmed the update by sharing a clip from the film on social media. Interestingly, the film will start streaming on February 13, which falls on Friday the 13th. In American culture, Friday the 13th is something that has spooky connotations attached to it. Regardless, the movie will be available in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
Fans of the horror genre welcomed the announcement in the comments section. Many users shared their excitement, while others requested more international horror films to be dubbed in Indian languages.
Despite receiving a mixed response from audiences and critics, The Conjuring: Last Rites opened strongly at the box office. But now, all that is over. We will be seeing the OTT release of the film in mid-February. If you don’t wanna watch Wuthering Heights on Valentine’s Day, then this is the perfect opportunity.
