Man Of Steel Joins Amazon MGM's Voltron Series

The pop culture community just can’t get enough of Henry Cavill. The Man of Steel has landed a role in the upcoming Heavy Budget Voltron series currently at work at Amazon MGM. The studio is ready to bring in a live adaptation of the 1984 series. The project is being assembled under Rawson Marshall Thurber, who is known for his work on “Red Notice” from Netflix.

Cavill is the second actor to be cast in the series. With the first being Daniel Quinn-Toye. The young actor primarily known for his work on the stage will probably portray one of the five young pilots. Cavill’s role is yet to be revealed.

The series is based on the Japanese anime series “Kikou Kantai Dairugger XV,” which was Americanized as “Voltron: Defender of the Universe.” The series revolves around the adventures of five teenagers, piloting lion mechs, which would come together to form Voltron. A supersized robot much like Power Ranger’s Mega Zord.

For Cavill, it is another fun opportunity, as it is publically known how much of a geek he is. It is always nice to see Cavill in these projects. Earlier. The actor was adored for his portrayal of Kal EL in DCEU, which ended in disaster for him. The same went for his portrayal of Geralt of Rivia in Netflix’s Witcher. His Warhammer 40,000 project has been dangling over production hell for a long time. We have seen Henry recently in Deadpool & Wolverine. which has obviously sparked a campaign for making Cavillrine canon for the MCU.
