Meet Zombified Cillian Murphy In Danny Boyle’s ‘28 Years Later’ New Trailer

Days became weeks, and weeks became years! Sony has dropped the official trailer for the much-anticipated Danny Boyle’s 28 Years Later, serving as the follow-up to 28 Days Later (2002) and 28 Weeks Later (2007).

Tighten your shoelaces and save yourselves from the gnarly and horrifying fleet-floated zombies brought by Boyle and Alex Garland. Both filmmakers also served as executive producers in Juan Carlos Fersnadillo’s 28 Weeks Later.

Newcomers such as Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ralph Fiennes, and Jodie Comer appear in the latest trailer. Most of the clip has been dedicated to the on-screen Kraven the Hunter and his efforts to fight off the deadly zombies while trying to save a small boy with him.

The mystery surrounding Cillian Murphy’s involvement deepens. While he was initially expected to return as Jim and take on an executive producer role, his absence from the trailer and cast list is puzzling. However, a chilling zombie moment in the new trailer has ignited fan theories about a potential surprise appearance from the Oppenheimer actor.

Other new cast members that will be seen in 28 Years Later are Jack O’Connell, Erin Kellyman, and Edvin Ryding. The upcoming chapter is the most expensive entry to date in the franchise, with a hefty budget of $75 million. Sony’s Columbia Pictures has produced the film, which is set to come out in theatres on June 20, 2025. Stay tuned for more updates. Enjoy the trailer right here!
