Nicôle Lecky’s BBC Drama Gets HOTD, The Penguin Stars Eve Best & Carmen Ejogo

After winning BAFTA for “Mood”, Nicôle Lecky is embarking on the new project “Wild Cherry”.

On Wednesday they unveiled the cast for the new six-part series.

The famous “House Of Dragon” star Eve Best and “The Penguin”s Carmen Ejogo will lead this series.

The story is based on a self-made black business woman named Loren which is played by Ejogo, and her best friend who is born in a privileged family played by Best, they call home.

Daughters Grace played by Faires and Allegra by May are also best friends and live a life other teenagers can only dream of.

The twist comes when a shocking scandal occurs in the private school, which pushes Juliet and Loren to an extent that now their friendship is at stake.

The director said in a recent interview that working with Carmen and Eve is something which gave this story a fresh and new narrative.

The series also features Amelia May who is a newcomer and Imogen Faires.

Now it’s time to see whether “Wild Cherry”
stands out on the audience’s expectations or not.
