Prime Video is showing strong confidence in Alan Ritchson’s Reacher series. The streamer has renewed the show for Season 4 and has announced a release window for Season 3.
Although Season 3 does not yet have a fixed release date, it is expected to premiere in 2025.
Prime Video’s unwavering faith in Reacher is a positive sign for showrunner Nick Santora. The series follows Jack Reacher, a former U.S. Military Police major with extensive combat experience, who prefers to live his life as a drifter.
In addition to Reacher Season 4, a spinoff series centred on Maria Sten’s character, Frances Neagley, is also in development.
The early renewal for Season 4 by the streamer makes sense, as Reacher is one of Prime Video’s most popular titles. Season 2 debuted on December 15, 2023, and quickly became the most-watched Amazon show of the year. In its first three days, Season 2’s viewership surpassed that of Season 1 by 50%.
Reacher Season 3 will be based on author Lee Child’s seventh Jack Reacher novel, Persuader. In this season, Ritchson’s Reacher goes undercover to protect an informant held captive by one of his old enemies.
In addition to Alan Ritchson, Reacher Season 3 features talents such as Maria Sten, Sonya Cassidy, Anthony Michael Hall, Brian Tee, Robert Montesinos, Johnny Berchtold, Olivier Richters, and Daniel David Stewart. Prime Video has yet to announce which Lee Child novel will be adapted for Season 4. Stay tuned for more updates.
