The official trailer for Apple TV+’s Shrinking Season 2 has arrived! It’s time to go back to therapy with the charismatic duo of Jason Segel and Harrison Ford. The strong positive critical reception of Season 1 motivated the streamer to renew it for the second season in March last year.
The video shows Segel as Jimmy Laird, a therapist and father of Alice (Lukita Maxwell), who is still not over his wife’s tragic demise. Alongside him, we see Ford as Dr. Paul Rhoades, Jimmy’s colleague and a senior therapist who suffers from Parkinson’s disease.
Telling his patients exactly what he thinks might come back to haunt Jimmy, but this time, he’s determined to stop “Jimmying” people and address his issues the right way. The trailer also shows Jimmy trying to improve his strained relationship with Alice. Moreover, we see him trying to mend his relationships with co-workers and friends.
The trailer highlights that Paul and Jimmy while having different approaches and personalities, must work together. Jimmy even suggests that they team up like “Batman and Robin” for effective therapy sessions.
Ted Lasso fame and Shrinking’s co-creator, Brett Goldstein, is stepping in front of the camera for Season 2. The rest of the cast includes talents such as Jessica Williams, Michael Urie, Christa Miller, Luke Tennie, and Ted McGinley.
Shrinking Season 2 will begin with two episodes on October 16 on Apple TV+, and then new episodes will be released every Wednesday after that. Check out the trailer right here!
