Sweeney And Seyfried Set To Star In "The Housemaid" Adaptation

Adding on to the list of recent book adaptations, we have Hollywood’s latest heartthrobs, Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried, who will be starring in the adaptation of the 2022 best seller “The Housemaid.” The book written by Freida McFadden will be brought to screen by Paul Feig, known for his work on movies like “The Heat” and “Susan Cooper.”.

The novel follows the story of Millie Calloway, who will be played by Sydney Sweeney. She gets a job as a housemaid in a rich family. However, she notices but chooses to ignore the web of lies and deception that surrounds Nina Winchester (Amanda Seyfreid) and her family.

It is to be assumed that the cast will expand as the movie starts its production. There are a number of characters in the novel, and as of now only Sweeney and Seyfried have been confirmed. The role of Andrew Winchester, Nina’s husband, is yet to have a name attached.

The movie will be a psychological thriller with hints of a domestic drama. This will be yet another project in Sydney Sweeney’s pipeline, who is gathering producer credit left and right. She has proven herself multiple times, and her work indeed speaks volume. The actress will be seen in “Eden” alongside Ana De Armas; the movie is yet to have a release date, although it premiered in September at the Toronto Film Festival. As for Seyfreid, she will be seen in Long Bright River, which will find its release in 2025.
