Taron Egerton’s Carry-On Is All Set To Break This Netflix Record

Jaume Collet-Serra’s Carry-On, the latest action thriller on Netflix, led by Taron Egerton (The Kingsman movie series, Rocketman) and Jason Bateman (Ozark, Air), is all set to break another streaming record. The movie has gained the first spot on the streamer’s top 10 (Global) viewership list. Soon, it may become one of the top 10 most-watched movies of all time on the platform.

According to Deadline, Carry-On has amassed over 97 million views in its first ten days. Given its ongoing progress, the film will soon enter the list of the top 10 most-watched movies on Netflix. It needs to earn over 136.3 million views in total in the upcoming days to surpass the viewership of Rian Johnson’s Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery. It could even surpass popular movies like The Mother (136.4 million), We Can Be Heroes (137.3 million), Damsel (138 million), and The Gray Man (139.3 million).

Carry-On benefits immensely from the outstanding work done by both leading men, Egerton and Bateman. It has a ‘fresh’ score of 87% on Rotten Tomatoes, based on over 75 reviews. In addition to the leading duo, the movie stars Sofia Carson, Danielle Deadwyler, Tonatiuh, Theo Rossi, Logan Marshall-Green, Dean Norris, Curtiss Cook, and more.

The movie follows a young TSA officer (Egerton) who is blackmailed into allowing a nerve agent onboard a flight on Christmas Eve.

Dwayne Johnson’s Red Notice still holds the number one spot on Netflix’s list of top 10 most-watched movies of all time, with over 230 million views, followed by Adam McKay’s Don’t Look Up, starring Leonardo DiCaprio. Stay tuned for more updates.
