The Last of Us Season 2 Trailer: Tensions Boil Btw Bella Ramsey & Pedro Pascal

This time, Ellie leads the charge, not Joel! The first trailer for HBO’s The Last of Us Season 2 has surfaced, starring Pedro Pascal as Joel and Bella Ramsey as Ellie. We also get our first proper look at Kaitlyn Dever’s Abby on screen.

Created by Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann, the acclaimed HBO series is an official adaptation of Naughty Dog’s hit video game series of the same name.

The new clip offers glimpses into the continuation of the story of apocalypse survivors Joel, Ellie, and Joel’s brother Tommy (Gabriel Luna). Alongside these characters, we are introduced to Isabela Merced as Dina, Ariela Barer as Mel, Spencer Lord as Owen, Young Mazino as Jesse, Tati Gabrielle as Nora, Jeffrey Wright as Isaac, and Danny Ramirez as Manny. Additionally, Catherine O’Hara appears in a guest role this season, seemingly portraying Joel’s therapist.

HBO’s official synopsis reveals that The Last of Us Season 2 takes place five years after the events of the first season. Joel and Ellie will face tensions between them as their shared past begins to resurface.

The new trailer confirms that Season 2 will arrive in 2025, however, it doesn’t reveal a fixed release window. Season 1 of The Last of Us became HBO’s most-watched first season ever. It also nabbed eight Emmy nominations, including for Ramsey’s and Pascal’s performances, and for best drama as well. Check out the trailer below!
