Venom: The Last Dance has been a mixed bag for most part. The movie was being sold as some massive culmination with primordial cosmic-level threats. What we actually got was rather anticlimactic. The movie still managed to get a lot of profit for the budget, and it is not stopping. Still, the release of the final venom move had a peculiar side effect. Netflix has been in profit amidst the buzz of venom the last dance. The movie certainly called for a recall. Perhaps because the movie was relatively forgettable as a whole. The fans are recurring back to the second movie.
Venom: Let There Be Carnage was released in 2021 as the sequel to the original venom movie. The movie was very mediocre as a whole. However, the movie introduced us to the prospect of more symbiotes being added to the fray. And thus it was still somehow pivotal to the plot of the third movie. When the movie was being released, the trailer showcased the whole thing as a nostalgia fest. Calling back to the bond (literally) between Eddie Brock and Venom.
This made sure that the movie that preceded the final one got its own share of callbacks. This resulted in the fans going back to “Let There Be Carnage.” Making the movie enter the global top 10 list of Netflix in the preceding weeks.
The digital release of The Last Dance seems to be quite far away, as the movie is still making a lot of money at the theater even through the mediocre reviews. The future of Venom seems to be in flux, as Tom Hardy has made his statement clear that this was the last Venom movie.
