Venom: The Last Dance Might Be The Redemption Of Sony, Here's Why

With Venom: The Last Dance, the Sony Venom Trilogy will come to an end. To some, it was a good experience. For many, it was an opportunity that remained untapped. Everyone had their grievances and fan moments, but the third and final movie of the franchise might just be the turnaround.

Venom: The Last Dance is looking forward to a domestic opening of $80 million to $120 million. This would be the largest opening in the franchise. Its predecessors were much less fortunate in this, as they too touched the 80 million mark, albeit globally.

But what was the reason behind the poor performances, and why is The Last Dance any different? To put it straight, the entire Sony Marvel universe is in shambles, as no matter how many hints the fans would drop, Sony just doesn’t seem to get them. The fans would have devoured the movie up, but only if the studio had the guts to make the big leap and get Venom a reason to have the spider crest on his chest—that is, bring in Spiderman.

The studio gives us continuous easter eggs scattered across its films, hinting at interconnectedness, but all of them are now mere loose ends. Venom: The Last Dance finally gives fans what they want. By pulling out Knull, the god of symbiotes, in the final movie, Sony has finally got the upright thumb in the box office arena. Makes us wonder, was it actually that hard, Sony?

The movie is set to hit theaters on October 25.
