After Wandavision, a couple of spin-offs were announced. And while Marvel has ever since delivered fabulously on one of them, which is Agatha All Along, the other one is still nowhere to be seen. However, this might soon change as the series Vision’s Quest might soon enter development. According to Paul Bettany, they are starting the shoots for Vision’s Quest in 2025. Which is quite late, to be honest.
Wanda was last seen in Multiverse of Madness, playing the antagonist to Doctor Strange. And she was far from the Wanda Vision knew and loved. Not just that, she is buried under Mount Wundagore. The kids are not existing anymore, except Billy has made a return in the body of a teen. No heroes gave a thought about a white vision or a hex in Westview. But most of all, the audience has moved on.
The fact that the series will start production in 2025 will have its drop in 2026. A total of 5 years after Wandavision ended. The studio will have to make it worth it somehow. The series has a lot of scope still. The vision character can be used to explore deeper into the S.W.O.R.D. organization. Furthermore, we may just have the emergence of the other kid of Wanda and Vision, thus reuniting the brothers.
As of now, the Vision Quest series looks like a maybe good, maybe mid-project, a bit too late to be relevant, and yet the endearing nature of Vision as a character can capture hearts and make it work.
