End of an Era indeed. As WWE dives into a new mode of streaming partnering with Netflix, fans are expecting huge things from the sports entertainment company. While there might be several changes in its overall product, many also debated regarding the future of other WWE streaming platforms like SonyLiv, Hulu and most importantly WWE Network.
Well, it seems that the premiere WWE streaming application service, the WWE Network is going to shut down as the merger continues to be strong.
A new year will be bringing in a new change in terms of streaming and taping of WWE shows and unfortunately will be terminating old ways of streaming. The WWE Network, which has been in effect since 2014 will be shutting down from January 1, 2025.
In an official statement, some of the content from WWE Network will be added to Netflix. All live PLEs, and weekly shows like RAW, SmackDown and NXT will be a part of Netflix from the new year.
As a new era of WWE awaits in balance, fans will certainly miss the previous formats of streaming which have unmatched legacies of events ranging from WrestleManias to weekly RAW and SmackDown.
