Adapted from the “Chainsaw Man” creator, Tatsuki Fujimoto one shot manga, and directed by Kiyotaka Oshiyama, “Look Back” is releasing on 25th October.
But the good news is Amazon Prime Video announced that they will include this movie into their album on November 7th.
The movie was first released in Japan on 28th June, and earned 1.40 million US dollars.
Fujimoto’s anime style and his choice of genre made this film a very easy catch for the audience, as they only consumed the popular anime series “Chainsaw Man” the most, “Look Back” gave a very unique perspective to viewers.
However, the manga won the first prize in “Rakuten Kobo E-book Awards” in May 2023, and in 2022 the manga ranked number one in the edition of Takarajimasha’s “Kono Manga ga Sugoi!” guidebook.
This is enough for a Manga to establish its capacity, and the integrity of the story.
With its thought provoking storyline and an unique character design this manga is well received among the otaku fanbase.
The story delves into the dynamic of two high school students, who are fascinated by the idea of drawing anime and eventually teams up to create a manga series which becomes so popular that it gets an anime adaptation.
Soon after their success one of the students receives a very heart wrenching message, which alters the life of both.
Despite being a work of fiction, this story delves deep into many real life occurrences, and delivers a very strong message of how life is too short.
The way Oshiyama adapted and promoted the series was enough for it to gather a worldwide audience.
