The much-awaited Kannada flick ‘Bagheera’ is all in the theatres and there is great audience inflow in both sandalwood and other industries. How well can it withstand ‘Amaran’ and ‘Lucky Baskhar’?
‘Bagheera’ is an action superhero thriller directed by Dr. Suri, based on a story by Prashanth Neel, who has conceived movies like KGF Franchise and Salaar. The effort is bankrolled by Vijay Kiragandur for Hombale films.
The technical labour includes the handling of cinematography by A J Shetty, editing overseen by Pranav Sri Prasad, and Ajaneesh Loknath will be composing the music as well as the background scores respectively.
The movie will feature actor Roaring star Srimurali as the main lead, alongside actors Prakash Raj, Rukmini Vasanth, Rangayana Raghu, Achyuth Kumar, and Garuda Ram playing important roles.
As per the credible responses, the movie mainly focuses on the star material rather than the importance of the story with umpteen references from Hollywood superhero movies and Indian blends.
The story by Prashanth Neel seems conventional and flat with no well-written narrative except the repetition of mass-appealing events that might only interest the lead actor’s fans.
Subsequently, the music by Ajaneesh Loknath is not jaw-dropping and follows the cliché template of the KGF Franchise, thereby not providing anything novel. Again, other characters are not well-established even though the movie compels a character-driven narrative.
On the contrary, the colour grading that efficiently sets the mood albeit being a replica of KGF, production design, and stunt sequences puts the movie in a watchable category.
Moreover, the chances of becoming the movie blockbuster are going down, and is not going to be a tight competitor for the clash. Stay tuned in Binged for more updates regarding ‘Bagheera’.
