Suspense thriller Kannada film Klaanthi was released back in 19th January 2024 and was not highly received by the audiences. Main Lead M. Vignesh is a new face with comparison to Sangeetha Bhat, who has been in the Kannada industry for more than a decade.
Klaantha is a situational thriller rather than having a well constructed story. The story revolves around the main lead couple Vignesh and Sangeetha who are on a trip to work on their love life.
Their vacation leads them to a dense forest and things get risky when they get trapped by a criminal gang.
Being a survival thriller, the movie tries to hook up the audience throughout its runtime with exceptional performances by Vignesh and Sangeetha. The screenplay for the film needed to be solid but was poor on various occasions according to several reviews.
With decent action sequences, Vignesh proved to be a all round superstar in the film. With limited budget in hand, the film delivers average performance and the cinematographer Mohan Lokanathan has done a good job in carving out a decent look from the film.
As the film nears 9 months after its release, it is now available to rent on Prime Video store. The film is available to rent in HD only for Rs 99.
