'All We Imagine As Light': New Trailer Unearths Vulnerability!

Payal Kapadia’s ‘All We Imagine As Light’ scripted history at the 77th Cannes Film Festival by bagging the Grand Prix Award, and the world is slowly but steadily witnessing this vulnerable and raw masterpiece unfold. The film is also all set to premiere in India by opening the Mumbai MAMI Festival!

In a recently released trailer, it was further conveyed why the title was in fact chosen as the historic winner. The snippets follow the self-discovery journeys of Prabha and Anu as they grapple with loneliness and the absence of privacy in a city brimming with people leading hectic everyday lives.

In a megacity of illusions and dreams like Mumbai, the duo set out to leave their mark on the world so as to not be forgotten long after they’re gone. Coupled with soaring background music, the film also delves into the aftermath of a lone, untimed reminder of estranged love, and its implications on one’s routine.

Moreover, it also features themes like intimacy and young, unmarried love, against the tumultuous waves of social stigma. All in all, the film, as has been made amply clear already, promises more than a one-time-watch story. It is an amalgamation of lives unfolding in real time, taking into consideration all the nuances and complexities that the world today has to offer.
