Another big news for fans of Malayalam cinema. Mammootty’s movie ‘Bramayugam’ has made it to the list of top 10 Horror Films Of 2024 by Letterboxd. And not only has it been placed in the list, it has secured the rank 2.
It is news to rejoice that an Indian film is placed among popular Hollywood titles and is getting celebrated as one of the best films in the genre. 2024 particularly has been great for horror films and the rest of the year too is Imminent with some interesting releases.
‘The Substance’ has taken the first spot in the lost by Letterboxd and very well deservingly too. ‘Chime’ is in third position. Other popular films in the list are ‘Exhuma’ at 9, ‘I Saw The TV Glow’ at 10, ‘Alien: Romulus’ at 6.
‘Bramayugam’ is written and directed by Rahul Sadasivan who has previously directed the horror film ‘Bhoothakalam’. The movie stars Mammootty in the lead role. It tells the story of a so-called lowborn folk singer who loses his way in the jungle and finds a cottage in between. He is hosted by two men in the cottage but soon realizes there is something spooky there.
‘Bramayugam’ has gained wide acclaim for its unique storytelling and execution and it looks like it has made a name for itself in the global market as well. If you have not watched the movie yet, now will be a great time.
