The concept of the Hema committee report has brought out a lot of noise and voices like allegations, expectations of the just, and formation of collectives, hence becoming sensational. The recent news of allegations about some of the popular faces of the Malayalam film industry by an actor regarding sexual harassment is continuing with more names on her list. Subsequently, a First Information Report (FIR) was made for the previously accused based on the complaint by this actor.
The latest allegation is regarding a veteran Malayalam actor-director who has alleged this actor in compelling by making her watch adult content which is a criminal and non-bailable offence. Also, some of the previous figures who were accused of similar issues were arrested.
During some interviews, the actor opened up about her satisfaction with the investigation and systemic support by the government. Also, she was surprised by the arrest of highly influential figures who were alleged to be involved in such a heinous crime.
However, the credibility of such allegations must be investigated thoroughly by the concerned officials and the case if found true should be brought promptly and quickly to the law. Allowing the issues to be late might affect the decorum of the industrial circle and trust in the film camaraderie.
