The success of a movie that represents the country’s culture and edifice is a pleasurable aspect for audiences. Payal Kapadia’s ‘All We Imagine as Light’ is such a masterpiece that it has been received in all open hands with a plethora of acclaim and laurels which is a pride for the Indian Film industry. But does the academic flavour of the film limit the number of screens in its own regional space?
The movie has been receiving positive responses concerning its subtle and delicate performances of actors, storyline, screenplay, and technical labour like music and background scores which are soothing and engaging. Apart from receiving appreciation, this is the first movie to get the ‘Grand Prix Award’, which is the laurel from the Festival of Cannes.
Furthermore, this movie will be the first one to represent both countries- India and France for the official entry to the 97th Academy Awards next year in the Best International Film category. Even though the actors are popular in their regional industry, their theatrical market value may be not satiable albeit their performance range.
Subsequently, most of the screens are occupied with blockbusters like ‘A.R.M’ and ‘Kishkindha Kaandam’ with their pre-booking rate widening more. However, the production house Spirit Media, founded by Telugu actor Rana Daggubati, has acquired the exclusive rights to distribute the Malayalam-Hindi film in India, and the actor-producer is hopeful and jubilant due to the presence of the two Malayalam actors who are playing the lead roles in the film.
The film talked about the undiscovered areas or the other face of the outskirts of Mumbai which typically differs from its urbanisation. The effort is conceived in such a way that has a compelling dramatic way of storytelling and is intriguing at the same time. The movie has languages mainly like Malayalam which the two main leads spoke, Hindi and Marathi which were the languages spoken in the location world.
The movie features actors Kani Kusruti and Divya Prabha as the main leads along with actors Chhaya Kadam, Hridhu Haroon, Azees Nedumangad, and Anand Sami in important roles respectively. The movie is expected to be released in the theatres on the 2nd of October this year.
