Why ‘Lucky Baskhar’ Is Getting A Slow Move In Mollywood Box Office?

The pan-Indian Diwali releases are getting satiable responses from a mass audience despite the industrial boundaries and it’s going on with no interruptions. However, the effect of the Dulquer Salmaan movie ‘Lucky Baskhar’ is a snail in the Mollywood Box office. Even though the flick is having its main lead being the selling point for the industry, how is this happening?

‘Lucky Baskhar’ is an upcoming Indian Telugu-language drama thriller film written and directed by Venky Atluri. The storyline is expected to have a connection with the Indian audience concerning the location and background where the story occurs.

It tells the story of an ordinary person who started from scratch thereby becoming a mysterious one. This can ensure the engaging factor for the audience to a closer reference to a real story. But how is it going to affect Mollywood?

Actor Dulquer Salmaan is playing the titular character of the flick, to which he had also played a more similar role as Sudhakara Kurup in a Malayalam movie ‘Kurup’ (2021), directed by Srinath Rajendran that was based on a real-life story of ‘Sukumara Kurup’, who is still a fugitive for an incident in a death insurance scam.

Apart from the challenge of the similar character arc and content repetition, the consecutive box office loss by the actor’s films is a huge challenge despite having higher hype and expectations.

However, as per the audience reactions from Mollywood, the effort is watchable due to its ability in breaking the shackle of boundaries with its technical labour and performances and it might get good viewers intake just like Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh that had phenomenal responses.

The effort is bankrolled by S. Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under Sithara Entertainments, Fortune Four Cinema, and Srikara Studios. Actors Meenakshi Chaudhary, Ayesha Khan, Hyper Aadi, and P. Sai Kumar is expected to play important roles in the film.
