SonyLIV has officially announced that the Unni Mukundan starrer Marco will be streaming from February 14. On paper, that certainly sounds like a “bloody” Valentine’s Day gift.
When it comes to reviews, opinions were a mixed bag. The biggest highlight was the screenplay, which had fans raving. Haneef Adeni’s direction also received considerable praise.
Beyond the writing, the film’s cinematography and music were also well-received. The pacing was another aspect that worked in its favor.
However, Marco wasn’t without its flaws. The biggest criticism was the excessive action sequences. While audiences love a gory, massy action film, there’s a fine balance to maintain, and Marco struggled to find that sweet spot.
At the box office, the A-rated Malayalam film grossed ₹115 crore overall. It had an impressive start, earning ₹30 crore in its first three days—a stellar achievement.
