The first detailed reports on viewing numbers for the much-talked-about Zack Snyder’s Justice League have been made available recently. Samba TV, a research and analytics firm, has confirmed that 1.8M US homes with HBO Max watched Zack Snyder’s Justice League in its first five minutes in the first three days since its premiere -that is, from March 19 to March 21.
Samba TV tracks terrestrial smart TVs to arrive at its numbers. As per the stats provided by the company, Snyder Cut stole a march over the other high profile premiere this week – Disney Plus and Marvel’s The Falcon And The Winter Soldier. As per Samba TV, 1.7M households watched The Falcon And The Winter Soldier upon premiere. Disney Plus had earlier released a statement proclaiming The Falcon and the Winter Soldier as the most viewed weekend premiere ever on Disney+, even beating the premiere numbers of WandaVision and The Mandalorian S2.
Interestingly, 2.2M US Households had watched Wonder Woman 1984 on HBO Max over its premiere weekend, that is from December 25 to December 27.
Along with HBO Max, Snyder Cut has proved to be a money-spinner for its various streaming partners across the globe. The film reached #1 on iTunes in 24 countries, and #1 on Google in 25 countries, which is very commendable for a movie that requires an investment of four hours to watch its entire run.
