We have all been witnessing Ayushmann Khurrana’s rugged look for his upcoming movie “Anek” and that look already is to die for. Anek, being directed by Anubhav Sinha is one of his most costly movies till date. The actor and director duo has earlier teamed up for their movie “Article 15” and Anek will be marking their second collaboration. The movie is an action thriller and has already started its shoot in January. The movie is slated to release on the 17th of September 2021.
The movie is extensively being filmed in Shillong, Meghalaya at the moment. The movie has a long duration of shoot that is scheduled to be filmed in various parts of North East India. The movie already has completed bits and parts of its shoot in Assam. Ayushmann Khurrana, who is playing the role of Joshua in the movie, is the only name that has come up for the movie at the moment.
Now, though there seems to be a pretty little addition. News portal Guwahati Plus reported that a 102 year old granny will be sharing the screen with Ayushmann Khurrana. Mai Handique, who hails from Guwahati and is 102 years in age and a resident of Mother Old Age Home, has a role in the movie. She right now is in Shillong to complete her part. The news has been confirmed by Utpal Harshvardhan, president of Mother Old Age Home who also is accompanying Handique at the moment.
She proves that acting and art doesn’t come with an age and time limit. You can go ahead with it anytime and whenever you have the chance. It will be a treat to the eyes to see how and whose character will she portray in the movie. It might even be a small, minimalistic role, but we are sure Mai Handique won’t mind as long as she gets to do what her soul and heart wants.
Coming to the movie, “Anek” seems to have some sort of political drama going on that is mixed with the action and thrill, which is paired perfectly with the hilly and forested terrain of North East. For the movie, Anubhav Sinha seems to have gone all out as he has brought on board action director Stefan Richter, who is also known as Ryan Reynold’s action director and has worked closely with Shah Rukh Khan too. Stefan has also created magic with his action directions for Ajay Devgn’s Shivaay.
