Zee5 has dropped a teaser video for its next original film ‘200’ inspired by true events. Written and directed by Sarthak Dasgupta (‘Music Teacher’, ‘The Great Indian Butterfly’), ‘200’ will premiere on Zee5 Premium this August.
The 44 second video begins with a mob of 200 women barging into a courtroom all of a sudden and the next scene is that of police officers being thrashed and beaten. The narrator in the background is a woman who insists that running away won’t work and the police will need to listen to them now.
On the other hand we have Barun Sobti’s character who believes that if one wants to change the society, they will have to start from themselves. And then there is veteran actor Amol Palekar who is seen calling the incident an execution rather than a murder and the question that needs to be asked and answered is ‘Why?’
The video also gives a glimpse of Sahil Khattar and Rinku Rajguru who play prominent role in the Zee5 original film. The video claims that the true event from which the film is inspired is a rarest of rare case in India’s justice system that shook the nation.
Starring Amol Palekar (‘Choti Si Baat’, ‘Gol Maal’), Barun Sobti (‘Asur’, ‘The Missing Stone’), Rinku Rajguru (‘Sairat’), Sahil Khattar and Saloni Batra (‘Soni’, ‘Taish’) in prominent roles, ‘200’ is a film that shows how 200 women jolt the nation out of its indifference not only towards years of caste oppression and injustice but also against India’s most notorious serial killer ever.
In a recent post by Sahil Khattar, who is making his web debut with ‘200’, revealed that he will be playing the role of India’s most deadliest serial killer Balli Chaudhary in the Zee5 original film. He also unveiled his first look from the film, check out👇🏼
‘200’ is a Zee5 original film produced by Yoodlee Films, the film division of India’s oldest music label, Saregama India Limited. The production house is known for ventures like ‘Collor Bomb’ and ‘Bahut Hua Samman’ on Disney+ Hotstar, ‘Axone’ and ‘Chaman Bahaar’ on Netflix, ‘Comedy Couple’ on Zee5 and many more.
‘200’ will release exclusively on Zee5 this August.
