There are many series which start on a great note but can’t keep up the spark. A classic example of that is Sacred Games. The first season was a near-perfect series which was an insane success. But we all know that the second season came out to be a fiasco.
But let’s talk about the top 3 Indian series whose second season was better than their first one.
The Family Man- Prime Video
One of the most loved series in India, it is perhaps the biggest Indian series. The series follows the story of Srikant Tiwari who works in the anti terrorist squad and also suffers heavily in his personal life.
The second season was on a much greater scale and was leaps and bounds better than the first one. It is an ideal situation as to how shows must increase the level and keep igniting the excitement level and that is exactly what the makers did.
Panchayat- Prime Video
This TVF created series is available to stream on Prime Video. It was released just last week and is perhaps the biggest Indian show after The Family Man of course.
The show follows the story of Abhishek Tripathi a panchayat secretary who unwillingly takes his job. Trapped in village life he prepares for MBA entrance while getting along with the people around.
The second season even after days is the hottest topic in the Indian OTT space. The series is relatable to the masses just like all the series of TVF. If you are willing to watch something from real rural India then Panchayat is an unmissable gem.
Aarya- Disney+Hotstar
Aarya streaming on Disney+Hotstar is the face of originals produced by the streaming giant. The show led by Sushmita Sen was nominated for Emmys and why not? It gives a brilliant dose of thrill and is greatly executed.
The second season of the series was slightly over the top but far more entertaining. The characters were more mature and so was the story.
Thus these three series stood upon the expectations. Do you think there are other series which got better with the upcoming season?
