But his life takes an adverse turn when the circus he works for, is shut down after it becomes financially non-viable. Will the struggling circus artist be able to fulfil his dream and provide for his family?
Dor, 2006 (Streaming on SonyLIV)
The beautifully directed film essentially revolves around a unique bond between two women – Meera (Ayesha Takia) and Zeenat (Gul Panag). They come from completely different walks of life, but their lives are linked by a tragic incident. Zeenat’s husband is on a murder trial and it’s now up to the recently widowed Meera to save the life of the former’s husband. The movie was directed by Nagesh Kukunoor.
Bhonsle, 2018 (Streaming on SonyLIV)
The film features Manoj Bajpayee in the lead role of a former cop named Bhonsle. Despite his declining health status, Bhonsle wants to extend his service in the police force. The disillusioned and bitter cop lives a poor life in a run-down chawl. There, he meets a North Indian family and decides to protect them from those who are targeting the migrants. Manoj Bajpayee had won the National Film Award for his terrific performance in the movie which was directed by Devashish Makhija.
