Jis Joy directorial ‘Innale Vare‘ starring Asif Ali, Nimisha Sajayan and Antony Varghese in key roles is heading for it’s direct digital premiere on SonyLiv on 9th June, 2022.The makers dropped official trailer of the same recently and there are more than one reasons to be excited for the film.
Firstly, SonyLiv has been having a good run with malayalam originals off-late. Acquisition of titles like Kaanekkane, Thinkalazhcha Nishchayam, Churuli, Madhuram etc. The streaming platform upped it’s game recently with the Dulquer Salmaan starrer ‘Salute’ and Mammootty’s ‘Puzhu’. One thing for sure is that all these titles had some quality takeaway to offer. So we do have optimal expectations from Innale Vare.
Secondly, for the first time popular director Jis Joy has stepped out of his comfort zone. He’s always been making feel good films (Bicycle Thieves, Sunday Holiday,Vijay Superum Pournamiyum) and ‘Innale Vare’ very evidently looks like a thriller. The trailer offers a look at what’s in store and we couldn’t pick anything happy, if at all.
Thirdly, popular screenwriter duo Bobby-Sanjay is behind the film’s script. We all know the kind of revelation the duo has turned out to be after Traffic(2011) and Mumbai Police(2013). They also penned for ‘Salute’ and ‘Kaanekkane’ recently. It goes without saying that their name attached to any film is a minimum quality guarantee if not great.
Finally, the film has a very talented star-cast. Asif Ali and Nimisha Sajayan are impeccable actors. The former is getting rave reviews for Rajeev Ravi’s ‘Kuttavum Shikshayum’ (2022) and the latter won everyone’s hearts with ‘The Great Indian Kitchen’ (2021). Asif seems to have gotten the nuances of a successful movie-star spot on. We just can’t wait for the film to hit our small-screens next week and who doesn’t love a well made thriller?
