5 Bollywood Musicals To Watch On OTT Part 2; Rang De Basanti & More

Bollywood is almost equivalent to musicals if we consider the global image that has emerged so far. There are hundreds of extraordinary musicals that you can watch on OTT but we have compiled a list that you must visit if you happen to love the genre.

In the last list, we suggested Lagaan, Dil Se…, Dil Chahta Hai, Kaho Na Pyaar Hai, and Taal.

This time we have brought you a wider variety of films.

Rang De Basanti – Netflix
Rang De Basanti is an Aamir Khan film that is a perfect example of great cinema. It was directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and is a different kind of film.

It doesn’t talk about rebellious behavior on a surface level but talks about the ideologies that govern our patriotism. The music by AR Rahman is exceptionally diverse and beautiful. The album is worth revisiting again and again.

Bunty Aur Babli – Prime Video
The original Bunty Aur Babli was released in 2005. The film was less film and more phenomenon because of the comedy and impeccable album. The songs like Kajra Re, Chup Chup Ke, and a lot more were extremely celebrated by the audience.

Kajra Re is still considered one of the best and most graceful item numbers to be ever shot. Thus the film is a crazy nostalgic ride and must be watched. The credit behind such an exceptional album goes to Gulzar and the trio of Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy.

Delhi 6 – Netflix
Again a Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra film whose album was given by Prasoon Joshi and AR Rahman.

Masakali, Arziyaan, and the divinely beautiful Bhor Bhaye elevate the experience of an already beautiful film to a great extent. Thus Delhi 6 is not an ordinary musical, but with a great rewatch value.

Fanaa – Prime Video
The 2000s kids have all tried the tongue twister Chanda Chamke Cham Cham that comes from this album. But even after that Prasoon Joshi and Jatin-Lalit made an album that is extraordinary in every sense.

Fanaa doesn’t only have a great direction but soul-healing music as well.

Love Aaj Kal – Jio Cinema/ Prime Video
The Saif Ali Khan film with Deepika Padukone is one of the generation-defining films from the 2000s. Love Aaj Kal’s album is credited to Pritam, Salim-Sulaiman, and Irshad Kamil.

The album has great songs like Chor Bazaari and We Twist. The movie and album are as crazy as it was back in 2009.
