Teacher’s Day is just around the corner. As all know, Teacher’s Day is celebrated on the 5th of September and if you are in a school or college, you would know how special this day is. For the past one and half years, students have gone through a lot, adjusted to a new normal level of education, and kept on with their education. But, with them, so did the teachers. These teachers for ages have been teaching with blackboards behind them and books in their hand, getting used to techy things was difficult for them, but they have done it because all they want is the best for their students.

The Karate Kid (2010)
The Karate Kid, for sure, is one of the most legendary movies out there. The movie stars Jackie Chan and Jaden Smith in the lead roles and tells a beautiful story about the art of learning martial arts and also life. The movie revolves around a little kid named Dre, who moves to China with his mother, but ends up getting bullied since he stands out in the public in China. This is where he comes across Mr. Han, a Kung Fu master, who teaches him the art of defense and stands up for himself. Not only is the movie about martial arts, but the bond formed between Dre and Mr. Han gives the audience many life lessons.
Taare Zameen Par (2008)
The hit film starring Aamir Khan and Darsheel Safari is the go-to teacher-student movie for everyone. This has been a breakthrough movie in Bollywood. This movie told the Indian audience how Dyslexia is actually really and each student needs special care. The tagline of the movie itself is “Every Child Is Special”. The movie told the story of a young 8-year-old boy who wasn’t able to succeed in his schoolwork or any other activities from school. He was dropped off at a boarding school and even though it was terrifying for the young boy until a miraculous teacher drops in. The teacher tries to understand everything and finally gets what the young boy has been going through. Things change finally for the good when he is specially taken care of and shown the world through a brand new perspective. All thanks to a teacher who never backed down.
My Octopus Teacher (2020)
“My Octopus Teacher” is a Netflix documentary that went on to win the 93rd Academy Award in the category, “Best Documentary Feature”. This is one special mention as the movie revolves around how filmmaker Craig Foster went on to create a special bond with an Octopus in a South African Kelp forest. The filmmaker mentions how he and the Octopus bonded and how he went on to learn various aspects about not only nature, underwater world but also life. The documentary shows how not only humans but also animals and nature itself can be your best teacher. The movie has been directed by Pippa Ehrlich and James Reed.
School Life (2019)
School Life is a French movie and focuses on teenagers and the relationship they have with school when they reach these rebellious years. The movie tells the story of a teacher, who is the new Vice Principal for the school and has started to introduce new rules. Her fellow teachers warn her and tell her what a nightmare these kids can be when it comes to rules. Still, the new Vice Principal tries to engage with the students even when they rebel. She gets close to one certain kid, who seems to be the most rebellious and understands his point of view about the lives of these students who come from one of the worst neighborhoods in Paris and learns that school is the last thing they care about. It is at this moment, that the teacher takes it upon herself to help the kids and the teachers of the school and assures them that she isn’t giving up any time soon. The movie has won critical acclaim since its release and has been part of various International Film Festivals.
