The Platform, 2019 (Streaming on Netflix)

The Spanish sci-fi thriller is set in a future where prisoners are kept in vertical cells in a towered structure. In this ruthless system, the upper-level inmates can eat as much as they want but the lower-level prisoners struggle with the left-over food.

The Fundamentals of Caring, 2016 (Streaming on Netflix)

The road comedy drama movie follows the story of a writer (Paul Rudd) who retires after a setback in his personal life. Later, he becomes a caregiver to a disabled teenager. Together, they embark on a road trip where they form a unique bond and find new meaning in their lives.

Village Rockstars, 2017 (Streaming on Netflix)

Directed by Rima Das, the Assamese language movie follows the story of a 10-year-old girl named Dhunu (played by Bhanita Das), who lives in a village in Assam with her widowed mother and elder brother. Despite all her struggles and hardships, she dreams of having her own rock band and owning a real guitar. Whether or not she is able to fulfil her dream forms the film’s crux.

Mr. Bean’s Holiday, 2007(Streaming on Netflix)

Based on Rowan Atkinson’s immensely popular comedy show ‘Mr. Bean’, the film revolves around the hilarious misadventures of the titular character and how the halfwit, but good-hearted Mr. Bean helps reunite a lost son with his father during his eventful holiday trip to Cannes. A decent and enjoyable watch for fans of Rowan Atkinson and his popular character Mr. Bean.

Evil Dead, 2013 (Streaming on Netflix)

Helmed by ‘Don’t Breathe’ director Fede Alvarez, the film’s plot follows a group of five friends who travel to an isolated cabin in the woods. But their weekend getaway soon turns into their worst nightmare after they accidentally unleash an evil demon which possesses one of the friends. The film is a reboot of Sam Raimi’s cult horror film ‘The Evil Dead’.
