5 Must Watch 90s Action Movies to Watch on Indian OTT (Part-2)

Last week, we had given our readers a list of five well-made action movies that came out in the 1990s period. Many hardcore movie buffs, more particularly those who were born in the new millennium might have missed watching some of them. In a follow-up to the first article, we have compiled another list of five more action flicks from the 90s.

Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991, Streaming on Netflix, Amazon Prime Video)

Set eleven years after the events of the first film, Arnold Schwarzenegger reprised his role as a cyborg for James Cameron’s ‘Terminator’ sequel. But this time his mission is to protect future resistance leader John Connor (Edward Furlong) from a more advanced and powerful cyborg (Robert Patrick), who has also time-traveled to the present to kill John Connor.

Speed (1994, Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar)

In the action thriller film, a young and determined LAPD cop Jack (Keanu Reeves) must race against time to save the passengers aboard a city bus rigged with explosives. Jack finds an unlikely ally in a bus passenger named Annie (Sandra Bullock) and together they must keep the bus speed below 50mph to prevent the bomb explosion.

Executive Decision (1996, Streaming on Netflix)

‘Executive Decision’ was a star-studded 90s action film with an ensemble cast including the likes of Kurt Russel, Steven Seagal, and Halle Berry. The film’s plotline revolves around how a U.S. Army analyst and a US Special Forces person team up to foil a nefarious terrorists’ plan onboard a plane from Greece to Washington, D.C.

In the Line of Fire (1993, Streaming on Netflix)

A disillusioned yet ingenious assassin taunts an aging Secret Service Agent Frank Horrigan (played by Clint Eastwood) about his plans to assassinate the President. Horrigan, who is ridden with the guilt of his past failure to save President Kennedy, makes it his mission to track the assassin in order to redeem his past mistake while not caring about his own life.

The Rock (1996, Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar)

Helmed by blockbuster filmmaker Michael Bay, the entertaining action movie follows an FBI biochemist (Nicolas Cage) who must team up with a former British intelligence agent (Sean Connery) to stop a rebel General (Ed Harris) from launching a deadly nerve gas attack from Alcatraz Island which he has taken hostage to execute his nefarious plan.
