Ambulance, 2022 (Streaming on Netflix)
Helmed by Michael Bay, it’s a heist thriller in which Jake Gyllenhaal essays the role of a hardened criminal Danny, who comes up with a plan to rob a bank with his brother William Sharp (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II), who portrays a war veteran in desperate need of money for his wife’s operation. But things soon go awry, and the two robbers steal an ambulance with a paramedic and a critically injured cop.
The Equalizer 3, 2023 (Streaming on Netflix)
This one is a must-watch for fans of The Equalizer franchise and Denzel Washington. The third instalment of the action thriller film series features Denzel Washington as the highly trained former CIA Black Ops turned vigilante, who tries to protect his new friends from the dangerous Sicilian mafia in Southern Italy after surviving a deadly gunshot.
Man on Fire, 2004 (Streaming on Netflix)
Directed by Late Tony Scott, the movie features Denzel Washington as a former CIA operative turned bodyguard, who goes on a violent revenge mission after the kid he is protecting is kidnapped. We recommend you watch this film in case you still haven’t, particularly for action-thriller movie buffs.
The Suicide Squad, 2022 (Streaming on Netflix)
The film was directed by James Gunn and features Idris Alba (as Bloodsport), Margot Robbie (as Harley Quinn), John Cena (as Peacemaker), Sylvester Stallone (as King Shark), and Joel Kinnaman (as Colonel Rick Flag), amongst others. It’s about the titular team of supervillains / anti-heroes who are sent on a deadly mission in order to destroy evidence of an alien starfish.
