The feel-good film was helmed by Gauri Shinde (Director – English Vinglish).
Ittefaq (Streaming on Netflix)
Somewhat inspired by Yash Chopra’s 1969 film of the same name, the mystery thriller follows a cop Dev Verma (Akshaye Khanna) who is investigating a double murder case. But they are also the prime suspects in the murder case. The cop must navigate through the web of lies in order to bring the culprit to justice.
Raazi (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video)
Based on Harinder Sikka’s 2008 novel ‘Calling Sehmat’ and set before the events of the 1971 Indo-Pak war, ‘Raazi’ revolves around a Kashmiri woman turned RAW agent Sehmat (Alia Bhatt), who is trained and sent on an undercover mission to Pakistan. She marries an Army man Iqbal (Vicky Kaushal) and is tasked with transmitting critical information to India. Things further complicate when she actually falls in love with her husband.
