When Robert Zemeckis makes a film, the viewers can be assured of quality content and engaging storytelling irrespective of the genre. And Allied was no exception. Set amidst the backdrop of World War II, the film revolves around a daredevil wing commander (Brad Pitt) who falls in love with a female member of the French Resistance (Marion Cotillard). Atomic Blonde (Streaming on Lionsgate Play)
When an MI-6 agent is killed by a Soviet agent to acquire a list of double agents, another elite field agent (Charlize Theron) is sent to recover the stolen list. The film boasts of an uber-cool act by Theron combined with some slickly choreographed action sequences. It also features James McAvoy in an interesting role.
Red Sparrow (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar)
‘Hunger Games’ actress Jennifer Lawrence starred in this understated thriller as a beautiful and ruthlessly trained Russian intelligence officer and her first assigned mission is to expose the identity of a mole by targeting a CIA agent (Joel Edgerton).
Hanna (Streaming on SonyLIV)
The film follows the story of a teenage girl (Saoirse Ronan) who is trained by her ex-CIA father (former Hulk Eric Bana) to become the perfect assassin. She agrees to be part of their mission across Europe where she is tracked by a ruthless agent (Cate Blanchett). Based on the film, a television series of the same name was released on Amazon Prime Video.
