The survival horror drama follows the story of two sisters Ida and Tuva, who plan to go for a winter dive in a far-off area located in Northern Norway. But their diving adventure takes a deadly turn when one of them gets trapped on the ocean floor and the other one must race against time to save her sister.

This surprisingly underrated horror movie was shot using the same hand-held filmmaking technique previously seen in films like ‘The Blair Witch Project’ and ‘Paranormal Activity’. The story follows a couple Uday and Ragini (played by Rajkummar Rao and Kainaz Motiwala), who plan to spend their weekend in a secluded house, fitted with secret cameras. But their weekend getaway turns out to be their worst nightmare after they encounter a terrifying paranormal entity.

Bali, 2021

When the seven-year-old son of a widowed father faints and is taken to the hospital, he starts conversing with a nurse who he says lives in a deserted section of the hospital. It’s a Marathi horror movie helmed by Vishal Furia, who had also directed another horror flick ‘Chhorii’.

Annabelle: Creation, 2017
Directed by David F. Sandberg (Shazam, Lights Out), the film’s story revolves around how a nun, and a group of orphaned girls are given shelter in the home of a former toymaker, whose daughter was killed in a tragic accident. But soon, they are terrorized by an evil and possessed doll called Annabelle.

Ek Thi Daayan, 2013

When a magician’s (Emran Hashmi) disturbing past starts to adversely affect his stage performance, he undergoes hypnosis and revisits his childhood days. He eventually learns about the demon caretaker woman who shattered his childhood. In the present day, when a friendly woman enters his life, he gets a strong feeling that the same demon from his childhood is back in his life. The film was directed by Kannan Iyer and also featured Huma Qureshi, Konkona Sen Sharma, Kalki Koechlin and Pawan Malhotra.
