6 Must-Watch Madhuri Dixit’s Films & Series to Watch on OTT

Today is the 55th birthday of eminent Indian actress and Padma Shri winner Madhuri Dixit. On this occasion, we have hand-picked for you a list of six must-watch films and series featuring the stunning actress. We have tried to include a mix of new and old, popular and underrated titles, which are streaming on various Indian OTT platforms.

The Fame Game (Streaming on Netflix)

The mystery drama web series features real-life actress Madhuri Dixit as a reel-life superstar Anamika Anand, a mother of two who suddenly disappears leaving no apparent leads. Thereafter, some uncomfortable and unknown truths are revealed during the course of the police investigation. The show also features Sanjay Kapoor and Manav Kaul in important roles.

Dedh Ishqiya (Streaming on Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Jio Cinema, Shemaroo Me, Tata Play, Yupp TV)

Helmed by Abhishek Chaubey, the ‘Ishqiya’ sequel follows the misadventures of two thieves and partners in crime Khaalujaan (Naseeruddin Shah) and his nephew Babban (Arshad Warsi). They steal a royal necklace and are chased by the cops after which the two get separated. Later, Khaalujaan masquerades as a poet to woo an affluent widow Begum Para (Madhuri Dixit). While Babban has some other plans for the beautiful widow. The film also featured Huma Qureshi in an important role.

Pukar (Streaming on Zee5)

Directed by veteran filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi (Andaz Apna Apna, Khakee), the action thriller features Anil Kapoor as an upright and celebrated Para SF Officer Major Jaidev. He captures a ruthless terrorist (Danny) and returns home for a break where he meets his childhood friend Anjali (Madhuri Dixit), who madly loves him. But Jaidev has a crush on another woman. That’s when the terrorist manipulates Anjali to destroy Jaidev’s career. Will Jaidev be able to get out of the mess and prove himself innocent?

Dil to Pagal Hai (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video)

In this Yash Chopra’s musical romance film, Shah Rukh Khan played the role of Rahul, director of dance-based musical plays who does not believe in love. By a twist of fate, he meets a woman named Pooja (Madhuri Dixit), who believes in a completely different theory that someone, somewhere is made for her. Despite their opposing beliefs, they develop romantic feelings for each other. The love quadrangle also featured Karishma Kapoor and Akshay Kumar in interesting roles.

Hum Aapke Hein Kaun..! (Streaming on Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Zee5, Shemaroo Me, Hungama Play, Tata Play)

The superhit rom-com was helmed by Sooraj Barjatya and starred Salman Khan and Madhuri Dixit in the lead roles. The film’s story takes place amidst the lively backdrop of a grand Indian wedding. During the celebrations, the bride’s vivacious sister Nisha falls in love with the groom’s younger brother Prem. But their short-lived romance takes a drastic turn after an unfortunate incident happens in the family. The film also features Anupam Kher, Mohnish Bahl, and Renuka Shahane, amongst other talented cast members.

Khel (Steaming on SonyLIV)

This is an entertaining and underrated film that was helmed by ‘Koi Mil Gaya’ director Rakesh Roshan and written by Javed Akhtar. The film follows the story of three street smart conmen (played by Anil Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit, and Anupam Kher) and their efforts to woo a widowed and affluent industrialist (Mala Sinha) with the intention to grab her multi-crore property.
