A series of regrets where people regret their past actions with haunting memories. This crisis has been used infinite times ever since Shakespeare introduced it in Macbeth.
Recent examples in Indian cinema can be Joji and Tabbar. But when this genius suffering is executed badly, then it becomes something as awful as 72 Hoorain. The trailer of the highly buzzy movie is now out.
After the insanely huge success of The Kashmir Files, we are getting a lot of films that expose the underskins of Islamic radicalism.
The new offering from this subject is 72 Hoorain. The movie is coming to the theaters on July 7.
It talks about terrorists who were brainwashed into terrorism at the promise of 72 virgin hoors.
Well, the terrorists launch the jihadi attack and are successful in creating chaos, anarchy, and terror.
However, when they reach their promised land after death, then it is not the same. They are contemplating as to what went wrong with the said promise. They are thinking it over on a railway track.
How funny is that?
The whole premise and trailer are just too bad. We are not questioning the intent or right of the filmmaker to make the film on the subject of his choice. However, the trailer is just too bad to leave any impact.
Gory images are important ingredients of this film, but the terrible editing of the trailer makes it unimpactful.
The problem with the filmmaker might be the success of The Kashmir Files and The Kerala Story. He might be thinking that such films don’t need the craft of filmmaking.
And, even more importantly, is this the future of the Hindi film industry?
Bollywood needs to think it over.
