95% Rated Sci-Fi Film Leaves Netflix Soon; Watch It Now!

Aliens have fascinated mankind since the time we became aware of the vastness of the universe beyond Earth. And we’ve carried over that fascination to our movies too. Alien movies are some of the most well-liked and watched movies in the science fiction genre. If you’re one of those movie buffs who love their alien invasion movies as much as they love space travel films, then our movie recommendation today is right up your alley.

The movie we’re talking about is the 2016 flick, ‘Arrival‘. The film is currently streaming on Netflix in India, and on no other streaming platform. But the sad news is that ‘Arrival’ is leaving Netflix very soon, at midnight on the 14th of February, to be precise. So if you’ve still not watched ‘Arrival’, you better watch it in the next three days, or it’ll be gone from Indian streaming — at least for now.

‘Arrival’ is one of the best science fiction films that deals with Aliens visiting Earth, and their interaction with earthlings. It is directed by Denis Villeneuve, director of seminal sci-fi films such as Blade Runner 2049 and Dune. Arrival regularly finds its name on Best Sci-Fi Films lists and Best Alien Invasion Movies lists. It deals with the exploration of communication with extraterrestrial intelligence in an inventive, engaging way. Arrival received critical acclaim, and particular praise for Adams’s performance and Denis Villeneuve’s direction. Arrival is rated 95% on Rotten Tomatoes, an impressive rating by all standards.

The film stars Amy Adams as a linguist, who is enlisted for help by the United States Army when they discover that Aliens have arrived on Earth. The US Army wants her help to discover how to communicate with these extraterrestrials, before miscommunication leads to escalation of tensions, and hence war.

Besides Amy Adams, Arrival stars Jeremy Renner, Forest Whitaker, Michael Stuhlbarg, and Tzi Ma in crucial roles.

Arrival is currently streaming on Netflix India, but will leave on 14th February, at 12 midnight. Watch the film if you love a nuanced sci-fi and alien movie, with an innovative storyline.
