Kenneth Branagh’s murder mystery film ‘A Haunting In Venice’ is all set to release on streaming platforms and on digital this month. The film will land on Hulu in the US on 31st October, 2023, just in time for Halloween day. The streaming release date for ‘A Haunting In Venice’ is apt too, considering that the film is an adaptation of Agatha Christie’s best-selling novel, ‘Hallowe’en Party’.
The star-studded film ‘A Haunting In Venice’ hit theatres in the US and in India on 15th September, 2023. The movie will see it’s streaming release six weeks after its theatrical release. The previous film in the franchise ‘Death On The Nile’ had also released on streaming after an approximately six-week exclusive theatrical window.
For those who don’t know, ‘A Haunting In Venice’ is the third in Kenneth Branagh’s Agatha Christie filmology, after Murder On The Orient Express and Death on the Nile. All three films are directed by Branagh. He also plays the lead role of Belgian detective Hercule Poirot in the films.
Besides Kenneth Branagh, A Haunting In Venice stars Kyle Allen, Camille Cottin, Jamie Dornan, Tina Fey, Jude Hill, Ali Khan, Emma Laird, Kelly Reilly, Riccardo Scamarcio, and Michelle Yeoh in pivotal roles. The official synopsis of the film reads – “Now retired and living in self-imposed exile in the world’s most glamorous city, Poirot reluctantly attends a seance at a decaying, haunted palazzo. He soons gets thrust into a sinister world of shadows and secrets when one of the guests is murdered”.
A Haunting In Venice premieres on Hulu in the US on 31st October, 2023. The movie will premiere on Disney Plus Hotstar in India. Death On The Nile had arrived on Disney Plus Hotstar fifteen days after its US streaming release. If A Haunting In Venice follows the same pattern, it will release on Disney Plus Hotstar around 14th November.
