Many films and series are being made on the 26/11 attacks in Mumbai for a long time. The most recent one is the Zee5’s State of Siege. And we have another one in the making which will arrive in a few months from now.
However, there is one common point with these works. One way or the other, they are getting delayed, or unexpected problems are being thrown at them. Take the case of this latest web series on 26/11, where legal action is taken on the makers.
The new 26/11 web series is handled by Nikhil Advani of D-Day and Batla House fame. The unit recently shot for one of the crucial scenes in the real-location. They recreated the scenario with all the sounds in place. And that is what has got them into trouble.
The neighbors of the place where the shooting was occurring were terrified with the bullet sounds in the night. They were dummy, but the ‘sounds’ coming was real, which made them complain to the police.
The makers did clarify that due permission was taken to shoot. They got it after a prolonged request to the necessary officials. The police, on their part, say that the ‘permission’ was only for shooting, but not creating loud noises. It is a minor issue, and things are expected to be sorted out soon as there are a considerable investment and crew involving in the making.
